The Federal High Court, Abuja on Thursday, refused to review a judgment delivered by Justice Gabriel Kolawole, which sacked the senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Attai Aidoko of the PDP from the Senate.

Fresh crisis looms in Kogi State as information filtering in from the political circle in the state revealed that the current senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District at the red chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Attai Aidoko has been unanimously endorsed by Kogi Christian Elders Forum in Kaduna State ahead of the 2019 elections.
Aidoko, who has fallen out of favour with his constituents on account of his dismal performance in the past 16 years he has been at the National Assembly, with greed and high-handed mannerisms, is desperate to return to the Senate with the hope of becoming the next President of the Senate, which is the bait he is selling to his constituency in seeking their support.
Kogi East Senatorial District delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party have warned against the imposition of Senator Attai Aidoko, whom they described as a “political liability”.
The protesters, in their hundred, carried several placards with various inscriptions.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State on Monday, the leader of the forum, Hon. Shaibu Momoh, said the committee, which is in charge of screening Senatorial and House of Representatives aspirants for the 2019 election, had been bribed with N50 million to compromise their reports to favour their preferred candidates.
This seems to be the dilemma of the people of Kogi East Senatorial District of Kogi State.
