The Federal Road Safety Corps is to screen a total of 9,000 candidates in Plateau in its ongoing recruitment exercise, according to Patricia Emeordi, the state’s sector commander.
Emeordi told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Jos that applicants resident in the north-central state were being screened, irrespective of their states of origin.
She said: “What we do here is the physical and certificates screening. The FRSC headquarters in Abuja will take up other aspects of the exercise.”
Emeordi said that the exercise was “very tasking’’, but commended the candidates for being “very orderly’’.
She added: “The official said that the recruitment, when completed, would boost the mandate of curbing road crashes and make the highways safer for Nigerians.”
