Members of the All Progressives Congress in Enugu State said they were 100 per cent ready to welcome President Muhammad Buhari, as the Presidential campaign train moves to the state on Thursday.
The State Chairman of the party, Dr Ben Nwoye, who said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu on Wednesday promised that members and supporters would come out in large numbers to welcome the president and his entourage to the state.
Nwoye said: “Enugu State is APC and APC is Enugu State,“ adding that over 70 per cent of Enugu people remained members of the party.”
He said that the venue of the campaign rally would be at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu while the event would commence by 10.a.m.
Nwoye said that if all APC members, both in the urban and rural areas, should be provided with logistics to come for the rally, the venue would not accommodate all of them.
He, however, said that so many buses had been sent to the rural areas to convey members to the venue.
The Chairman said that Enugu APC remained united, assuring that they would ensure the success of the party in the forth coming general elections.
He said that he was working so hard to ensure that APC candidates emerge victorious in the forth coming general elections.
Nwoye said that the party took time to select people of integrity to run for various political positions, especially the governorship candidate, Sen. Ayogu Eze who had brought sanity to the party.
