“It is our duty to position VON to deliver on its mandate of positively telling the Nigerian story.”
Earlier, the outgoing D-G, Osita Okechukwu, said that VON had a dutiful and dedicated workforce capable of achieving great results with the right motivation.
Okechukwu welcomed the new helmsman of the organisation and pledged his willingness to always make input that would take VON to greater heights.
VON was established in 1961 as the external service of the then Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, now Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
