The Nigeria Air Force Logistics Command in Lagos on Saturday held a one-day workshop for over 100 personnel to improve its operational efficiency.
NAF Director of Administration, Air Vice Marshal, Nelson Calmday, told journalists that the workshop would help improve efficiency of the logistics command personnel.
Calmday said: “The essence of this workshop is to refresh our younger officers on the nitty-gritty of staff duties so that most of the mistakes that are caused in the process of communicating with higher authorities can be avoided.”
Earlier in his welcome address, Commander, 651 Base Service Group, Air Comordore Musbau Olatunji, said the quarterly workshop was aimed at addressing lapses in staff duties.
Olatunji said: “It is also aimed at reawakening procedures and practices that have been allowed to fade away in the service.
“This workshop is also to address issues bordering on service correspondences.”
The Air Officer Commanding, Logistics Command, AVM Nnamdi Ekeh, in his remark, said the workshop was for the progress of the force and urged officers to take the training serious.
Represented by the Chief of Staff, AVM Emmanuel Wonah, Ekeh urged the participants to make good use of what they have been taught for national development.
