Morocco’s monarch, King Mohammed VI, who on Wednesday at home launched the “Ramadan 1445” operation in Rabat, has sent huge relief to the people in Gaza.
The “Ramadan 1445” aims at helping no fewer than one million households, representing nearly five million individuals.
According to news from the Moroccan News Agency, King Mohammed VI gave very high instructions for the deployment of humanitarian food aid operations for the Palestinian population in Gaza and the Holy City of Al Quds.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, the aid, which coincides with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, aims to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian populations, especially their most vulnerable sections.
As a result, Morocco has sent over 40 tons of foodstuffs, including basic foodstuffs.
The bulk of the aid is from Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
Others comprise institutional aid and the sovereign’s personal funds.
Morocco also pointed out that since the outbreak of armed hostilities more than five months ago, the kingdom is the first country to dispatch, through this unprecedented land route, its humanitarian aid, which will be delivered directly to recipient populations.
Moreover, King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, has also given His Very High Instructions to Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency to provide humanitarian aid to the populations of this Holy City of Al Quds.
