More upsets were today recorded in the 2012 Federation Cup.
Just days after Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt and Wikki Tourists were bundled out of the Federation Cup, Sunshine Stars of Akure and ABS FC of Ilorin have also crashed out, no thanks to less fancied teams.
Crown beat ABS 1-0 while Nasarawa United shocked Sunshine 3-0.
However, the current Nigeria Premier League leaders, Rangers FC of Enugu, qualified for the Round of 16 beating JUTH 2-0 at the Katsina Ala Stadium with two goals from Oduokpe Oghogho.
Kwara United rode 2-1 over Akpabio FC, the same margin with which Heartland FC defeated Unicem.
Other matches in the Round of 32 will be played on Saturday.
Sunshine’s elimination is the biggest upset in the Federation Cup as the team is in the group stage of the CAF Champioms League and were semi finalist in last year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
