Marseille offer Mikel £350k monthly

French football giants, Olympique Marseille, is reportedly tabled £350,000 as monthly deal for out favour Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi.
Obi will become the second highest paid player at the club behind Bafetimbi Gomis, who currently earns £420,000 monthly.
The Super Eagles’ skipper proposed move to China is however on hold as the Chinese club reportedly could offer £3.4 million yearly.
Obi, who has being struggling with game time under Antonio Conte, said: “I’m not that kind of person who wants to find excuses, nor I’m trying to escape responsibilities.
“People may think that Conte is angry at me because I did not take part to Chelsea’s pre-season training camp, but I wouldn’t swap my bronze Olympic medal with a starter spot in Chelsea’s XI. I do not regret to have played the Olympic games with my national team. I wouldn’t swap that medal with a regular spot at Chelsea.
“Said that I still want to train hard and convince Conte to change his mind, if that’ doesn’t happen let’s see what is going to happen in January.”
