League: Wikki, Rangers, Abia Warriors were tough opponents – Eguma

Rivers United Manager, Stanley Eguma, said on Wednesday that Wikki Tourists, Sunshine Stars, Rangers FC and Abia Warriors were tough opponents against his team in the just concluded league season.
United came second with 60 points in the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League league season, which ended on October 2.
Eguma stated in Port Harcourt that other clubs in the league were equally good and gave good account of themselves.
He, however, said the contending teams for the title proved hard nut to crack and were tough opponents.
Eguma said: “Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, Sunshine Stars of Akure, Rangers FC of Enugu and Abia Warriors were really tough opponents for us.
“These teams were very tough, not that other teams were not good, these ones gave us a good fight.”
Eguma said United tried their best during the league and were happy to pick a continental ticket.
“The league was very competitive and I wish to commend the League Management Company for organisation and sponsorship.
“We have learnt lots of lessons from the just concluded league and we will take them home.”
