The Chairman of the House Committee on Public Finance and Public Complaints of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Sambo Gondina, has expressed worries over the failure to pay salaries and backlog of arrears of the assembly and civil servants by the Governor Jonah Jang administration.
Gondina, who is also the candidate for Pengana on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, lamented the lack of payment.
He said it has forced many families into serious problem and they had resorted to doing unacceptablele things.
Speaking on the general election, Gondina urged all the political parties to accept the outcome of the election and avoid any form of intimidation and harassment during and after the exercise.
The House member appealed to security agents to also conduct themselves peacefully in the way they protect the ballot papers and the lives and properties of citizens.
He called on the people of his constituency to ensure that the elections are conducted peacefully without any rancour.
