Kidnapped ex-Deputy VC of UI regains freedom from abductors

A former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of the University of Ibadan, Professor Adigun Agbaje, has been released, Tribune Online is reporting.

The Eagle Online recalls that the former VC was kidnapped along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway on Friday.

Tribune Online said it was told by Professor Remi Aiyede, Head of Department, Political Science, University of Ibadan, that Professor Agbaje was released on Sunday and is undergoing medical checkup.

He told Tribune Online: “Prof Agbaje has just been released about few hours ago.

:He is okay and undergoing medical checkup.”
