Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the newly appointed Special Adviser on Works, Ahmad Bunkure, who died on Wednesday in Egypt.
Bunkure’s death was announced in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi DawakinTofa, on Wednesday.
He was sworn in as Special Adviser on Works a day before his death, making his sudden death a shock to many.
In his condolence message, Governor Yusuf described Bunkure’s death as a tragic and irreplaceable loss to the state, his family and the wider political community.

He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and strength for his family to bear the painful loss.
“This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government. Bunkure was a dedicated professional whose expertise and contributions were expected to drive our administration’s vision for development. His loss is deeply felt,” the governor said in the statement.
