Judge postpones Okah’s sentencing again

The presiding judge in the terrorism case instituted against Henry Okah in South Africa, Judge Claasen, has postponed the accused’s sentencing till March 18, 19 and 20, 2013.
Claasen said the postponement was to enable Okah’s new legal team, led by Gerrit Miller, the time to get itself familiar with the notes left by the former defence team that withdrew from the case.
Okah’s team requested for the postponement.
The prosecution team said the move was in a bid to delay the judgment.
Okah was found guilty as the mastermind of the explosions that rocked Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory on October 1, 2010 during Nigeria’s independence anniversary celebration.
