Gunmen kill 18 in Sokoto

No fewer than 18 persons from villages in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State have been killed by gunmen, while four others were injured.
The gunmen attacked the villages on Saturday night.
The Chairman, Zakkat and Endowment Commission and member, state committee on Internally Displaced Persons, Malam Lawal Maidoki, disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday.
Maidoki said security operatives have been deployed to the area.
The chairman of the LG and a team of joint security operatives have been to Rakumni, Tsage and Kalgo for rescue operation.
They are also said to be assembling corpses for burial.
