Gov. Adeleke updates Works Minister on state of Osun roads

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has updated the Minister of Works, David Umahi, on the state of federal and state roads in his state.

Adeleke, who briefed the Minister when he visited him in his office in Abuja, sought further intervention of the Federal Government.

Accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye, the Governor briefed Umahi on his administration’s multi-billion naira infrastructure projects, which include flyovers, dualisation of roads and ongoing construction of several major roads across the state.

The governor narrated that his administration has constructed over 150km of roads since his assumption of office, including the 1.5km per local government roads in the state.

While commending the Minister for his bold approach in the road sector, Adeleke briefed him on some federal roads his administration has worked on, seeking favourable rapport between the state and the federal government on the road sector.

Responding, Umahi assured the governor of support and partnership in the management of federal road corridors across Osun State even as he acknowledged the proactive approach of Adeleke to the road sector.
