Fire outbreak has damaged the stadium of China’s Shanghai Shenhua Football Club, the media reported on Tuesday.
The report said: “The blaze broke out at the Hongkou Stadium early Tuesday and was extinguished by mid-morning.”
A news agency said the fire had not affected the stands or the pitch.
Among leading stars who play for Shenhua are Argentina striker, Carlos Tevez, who signed a two-year contract in December 2016.
“The next game at the stadium on April 16 against Changchun Yatai will be subject to fire authority inspections,” sport portal, Sohu, quoted a Chinese Super League official as saying.
