Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea, has reportedly been implicated in an underage rape case in Spain.
The case relates to charges against a porn producer accused of trafficking and abusing girls, in which a protected witness has testified that she was taken to a hotel and abused by two footballers.
Athletic Bilbao forward, Iker Muniain, is one of the players named in the allegations, while De Gea has also been accused of being involved.
There is reportedly evidence of messages exchanged among De Gea, Muniain and the woman involved, including one where De Gea asked whether she “would be with five Manchester United players”.
El Confidencial has also reported that Real Madrid midfielder Isco is another of the players involved.
De Gea representatives have yet to make a statement, while Muniain’s camp insist that they have no knowledge of the allegations.
Meanwhile, De Gea has denied any involvement in an alleged rape, insisting that the accusations are “false”.
“This is all something false which has come out in the press,” De Gea said in a media conference. “This now in the hands of my lawyers. This gives me more strength to train more, to help the team however I can.
“I’m still very relaxed, just want to train and do what I like to do. I just want the tournament to start and to play. I was in the room when heard news. Above all I wanted to tell my family, so they know this is all false, and they can be relaxed.
“This is in the hands of my lawyers now. I am very relaxed and nothing else. It is all false. Nothing much more I can say. I have not planned to leave the national team. I’ve left it in the hands of my lawyers. It’s all lies.”
