A businesswoman, Lilian Pam, has dragged her husband, Melvin, before a Customary Court in Jikwoyi, Abuja, accusing him of having “numerous extramarital affairs”.
In her petition to the court on Thursday, the petitioner said: “My husband committed adultery with several women.
“This is evidenced by the countless numbers of used condoms scattered all around my matrimonial home and in his car.

Pam also told the court that her husband takes intoxicants like alcohol and the effects on him makes him cruel, brutal and violent to her.
She said she had told him to stop drinking, smoking and womanising, but he refused.
Pam prayed the court to grant her divorce and custody of their only child.
The respondent, Melvin, who was present in court, denied the allegations.
The presiding judge, Dada Oluwaseyi, advised the couple to explore an out of court settlement.
Oluwaseyi adjourned the matter until July 27, 2023 for report of settlement or hearing.
