The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the election of the Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade.
Ayade was dragged to court by Joe Agi, one of the contenders for the ticket of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
Agi wanted the Supreme Court to nullify the election of the governor over alleged false declaration of age.
He said based on the falsification of age, Ayade could not be the PDP’s candidate for the 2015 election.
