The representative of Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, has instituted a court case against the Independent National Electoral Commission over his planned recall from the Senate.
INEC had earlier in the week confirmed receiving a petition against Melaye from his constituents and promised to embark on the process to verify the signatures of those who signed it.
But on Friday, Melaye said he has started a court proceeding against INEC.
He revealed this on his Twitter handle and also scanned the court paper there.
He tweeted: “I have filed my case against INEC today at the Federal High Court Abuja today.”
