Showbiz impresarios – Don Jazzy, D’banj and Wande Coal – were said to have swallowed their pride and re-united again years after their break up.
The three business estranged partners performed their once hit song, Pere, to honour Aremo Segun Oniru on his birthday, which took place on Wednesday night at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria-Island, Lagos.
The performance definitely reminded many of the defunct Mo Hits Records.
After the performance, an elated Don Jazzy wrote on his instagram page: “Felt good honouring the celebrant, Prince Segun Oniru, tonight with a surprise Pere performance with my brothers.
“Happy birthday Prince Oniru.”
Oniru is the Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development and is the son of the Oba of Oniru.
Prince Oniru is known to be popular on the social scene as he regularly supports various entertainment acts, including D’banj.
