A former Flying Eagles Coach, John Obuh, on Thursday said that Nigeria could qualify for the finals of the African Cup of Nations if it took the remaining two matches seriously.
Obuh, the Manager of Rangers FC, told the News Agency of Nigeria on phone that Wednesday’s victory over Sudan should spur the Eagles to win the remaining two matches.
He said: “Having won this game (against Sudan), we do not have to be looking at games from the angle of this people have gone to play, they defeated them and we have to win.
“We have to plan on how we are going to win, not necessarily because another country has gone there to win.
“We should plan our strategy to make sure that we do not concede cheap goals.”
Obuh said the Eagles had potentials to win the two remaining matches and urged Nigerians to support the team to qualify for AFCON 2015.
