Daffo Attacks: Lawmaker urges residents to be calm, law abiding

Sunday Muchen, member representing Bokkos constituency in the Plateau House of Assembly, has urged residents of Daffo District to remain calm and law abiding, following the recent attacks on some communities in the area.
Muchen gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Jos.
He said some of the communities in Daffo District recently experienced attacks by gunmen.
Muchen, who described the incident as “unfortunate,’’ however, called on residents of the affected communities to be patient with government.
He said: “What happened has happened, so, our people must not take laws into their hands but be calm and law abiding.
“It is an unfortunate situation, but they shouldn’t allow their level of provocation to lead them to committing crimes against humanity.
“So, I urge our people to trust in God and allow the law to take its course.”
He also called on security agencies to intensify efforts to fish out those behind the attack and make them to face the full wrath of the law.
