On the final day of the Tokyo Games, Olympics organisers have recorded 26 new coronavirus cases linked to the event, according to Sunday’s daily report.
Thursday saw the highest number of positive cases, at 31, since the Games started officially on July 23.
The total number of infections related to the Games is now 430.
Among the new cases are five members of the foreign media.
The others who tested positive in the Olympic bubble in Sunday’s numbers are voluntary helpers, employees of contractors, staff from the organising committee and other unidentified people involved with the Games.
