26 Immigration Officers promoted in Niger

Out of over 3,000 officers that were promoted Nationwide, the Nigeria Immigration Service has decorated 26 officers in the Niger State Command.
State Comptroller of the Immigration Service, Animim Daughter Hornby, while conducting the ceremony alongside representatives of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps and Department of State Services in Niger State on Thursday, tasked the newly promoted officers to be resilient in shouldering responsibility that comes with the new ranks.
Hornby also urged those who were eligible but were not promoted to be patient “as promotion comes from God”.
The decorations were made following the release of results for the 2018 senior officers’ promotion interview, and a total of 3,313 officers were promoted to new ranks.
In a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Mukhtar: “Out of the 3,313 promoted officers, twenty six (26) in Niger State Command were affected.”
The statement added that among those decorated were two Assistant Comptrollers of Immigration N.S. Waziri and J. Yagba as well as the Personal Assistant to the State Comptroller who was promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Immigration.
