2019: Kaka joins Ogun governorship race

Senator Adegbenga Kaka has declared his intention to contest the 2019 governorship election in Ogun on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Kaka, a former Deputy Governor of the state, made his intention known on Monday in Abeokuta at a press conference.
He described politics as a serious business that should not be left in the hands of politicians alone.
He said: “It is popularly believed that what good people suffer for not participating in politics is to be ruled by fools and charlatans.
“For maximum result, all hands must be on deck. The approach must be collective and inclusive, after all, the policies and effect of governance impact the society in equal measure and ramifications.
“Without sounding immodest, I consider myself highly qualified.
“My physical, mental and emotional stability have never been in doubt. Perhaps, my greatest asset is my integrity and commitment to service and a good life for my people.”
He outlined a seven-pronged manifesto which included security of lives and property, employment and empowerment, technology-driven education and agriculture as business.
Others are affordable and quality healthcare for all as well as inclusive infrastructural development and sports and tourism.
He enjoined the electorate to get their Permanent Voters Card in order to exercise their franchise.
