Barely three weeks after the video of a policeman, Chris Omeleze, demanding a N25,000 bribe from a motorist in Lagos State went viral, another police officer, this time a woman, has been caught on video demanding a N100 gratification.
The Lagos State Command has launched an investigation into the identity of the female police officer, whose video is now on social network site, You Tube.
Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, said that the Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, has ordered a full scale investigation into the incident.
The woman, whose identity is yet to be established, jumped into a commercial bus, insisting on a N100 bribe from the driver or she would impound the vehicle.
She later got out of the bus after the conductor gave her the money.
It was gathered that the police command is having trouble locating the exact spot the incident took place.
But Braide said: “I have watched the video and all I can tell you is that we have begun investigations into the case.
“We will tell you the outcome after our investigations.”
