In a message to IMPR, the Member Services Manager of IPRA, Janice Hill, said he Winning entries include the Nigerian Air Force campaign on: “Women of War,” which bagged Crisis Management Award Category; Nigeria Customs Service Campaign on partial border closure to curtail smuggling of foreign rice, which bagged Public Affairs Award Category; and Nigerian Communication Commission launching of Emergency Communication Centre, which bagged New Service award Category.

Since their stay in office is at the discretion of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, I have rather decided to write this memo, appealing to you in the spirit of fairness, standard procedure and progression in the service, to allow the longest-serving service chiefs go after exceeding their run-out dates, which is the mandatory 35 years of military service, and the additional discretionary extension, which is generally time-bound.

The Summit, which gathered leading communication scholars and professionals from Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, explored the global trends given by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in the field of Global Communication, Diplomacy and Politics
Speaking on Public Relations Strategies for SDG at the Global Summit, a renowned Nigerian crisis communicator, Yushau Shuaib, said that PR is deployed to mobilise supports, resources and facilitate developments.

Sirajo further said the feats of Shuaib at the international PR forum were accolades which have made the country proud hence the need to institute such awards at the national level to recognise the outstanding efforts of PR Practitioners.
