A statement issued by Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama, TUC President and Comrade Musa Lawal, Secretary, described Dora’s death as one too many for all genuine progressive and patriotic Nigerians
The TUC President and Secretary, Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama and Comrade Musa Lawal respectively, in a statement said, “It is unfortunate that this incident happened at all, worse still that it happened while the nation was still trying to come to terms with the reported killing of over 210 other people in Gwoza, Dikwa, Kala Balge, and Gambulga towns last Friday and Saturday, and another 60 in Kaigamari and Ngoshe villages, all in Borno State
The TUC’s request was contained in a statement signed by its President, Bobboi Kaigama, and the Secretary General, Musa Lawal, and made available to newsmen on Monday in Lagos
The statement reads: “It beats the imagination of the Congress that our politicians are busy quarreling, engaging in fisticuffs and casting aspersions on themselves in both electronic and print media just because of 2015 elections at a time when many Nigerians have died on our dilapidated roads and as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency, ocean surges and floods
“The congress shares in this pain and earnestly identifies with the families of the bereaved and journalists throughout the country
