In a rejoinder to the Sahara Reporters’ story, which the website has deliberately not published for obvious cynical reasons after a poor attempt to link Okyere’s purchase of a London home to proceeds from graft amongst several other claims, Springfield described the entire publication as “full of lies, half-truths and innuendos and calculated attempt to injure the reputation of our company and it’s Managing Director”

There have been reports that Okyere and Springfield were involved in the recent allegation of Nigeria’s former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Alison-Madueke, on money laundering in the United Kingdom
