The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu, says all hands are on deck to ensure the safe return of the Director of the State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, and others abducted in the state on Saturday.
The Lagos State Government on Tuesday allayed fears over the abduction of the Director of the State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, assuring that all hands are on deck to ensure his safe return, as well as other victims.
According to available information, Musibau and the others were abducted on Saturday at about 8pm along Iwoye Bridge, Itokin-Epe Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The Lagos State Fire Service says it has recorded no fewer than 119 fire incidents across the state from the beginning of January 2019 till date.
The Acting Director-General, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Lagos.
Musibau told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Lagos that such precautionary measures would ensure the safety of lives and properties.
The South-West zonal spokesman of the agency, Farinloye Ibrahim, confirmed the incident to NAN, stressing that the warehouse was being used to keep relief materials.
