The Nigeria Labour Congress has said the minimum wage of N27,000 and N30,000 approved for state and federal workers was a fragmentation of the wage and, therefore, unacceptable.

Labour in a statement signed by Jerry Nnubia, chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Ifeanyi Okechukwu, chairman, Trade Union Congress, and Jibuike Ikenna of Joint Negotiating Council, said workers should stay at home and await further directives.
The governor, who was represented by the Head of Service, Harry Uduh, said the promises he made during his 2017 governorship campaign would be fulfilled during his second term in office.
