The event, the most prestigious HSE awards in Africa, was attended by notable personalities, professionals, entrepreneurs, HSE certification companies, training institutions, regulators and safety solution providers among other bodies in the industry across the continent.
Adesina, who was honoured by Vanguard Media Limited, a foremost Nigerian and African new publication, is the Group Managing Director of Sahara Power Group, the largest privately owned vertically integrated power company in sub-Saharan Africa.

“It’s an immense privilege to be here and see the progress at Africa’s biggest thermal plant. Not surprised by the obvious quality of operational activities and the value addition since take-over by the Sahara group,” Kyari said during a courtesy visit to Egbin Power.
It highlights Egbin’s current status since its privatization in 2013; its values and governance model; alignment of the company’s strategy with its commitment to a sustainable global economy; socio-economic and environmental impact of its activities and the roadmap for future plans.
