It was also learnt that in the state-owned-newspaper, THE POINTER,
casual workers, who constitute the brain behind the success of the
newspaper outfit, especially as the Features Editors, the Business
Editors, the Education Editors, the Arts Editors, Proof Readers,
Sub-Editors, Copy Writers and the Photographers – attached to the
State House of Assembly and Office of the Wife of the Governor, who
are casual workers, had worked tirelessly but could not make the list
of the absorption exercise

Governor Uduaghan, who acknowledged that putting up proper legal structures would ensure that government would be properly guided to continue with efforts to make the environment friendly, explained that the law was geared at providing a legal structure necessary for the state and its people to key into the Green Economy Initiatives of international agencies

The Commissioner for Housing, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, who briefed journalists on the activities of investors (foreign and local), in the state in Asaba on Monday, said the assessment of their financial and technical abilities cum viability of their proposed joint ventures, revealed that they were not viable
