Dr. Bayo Olugbemi, President/Chairman of Council, CIBN, who made the statement at the Institute’s Annual General Meeting, held live and online, said the proposed hall of 200-seating capacity will be fully furnished with air conditioning and well equipped modern multi-media communication gadgets and donated to the Banking and Finance department as a legacy project from the Institute.

Adesina gave the charge at the 2020 Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria Fellowship Investiture with the theme, “Financial Services in a Post COVID-19 Environment: Strategic Imperatives”.

Olugbemi, in his acceptance speech, paid tributes to the institute’s founding fathers who made sacrifices and contributions that had positioned it for its current growth and development.

Dr Uche Olowu, the CIBN President/Chairman, made the call when he was received in audience by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Speaking at the event, CIBN President, Uche Olowu, said the accreditation of Ecobank Nigeria Academy was based on the report of its Capacity Building and Certification Committee that the training school has met all the parameters of measurement, stressing that it was a manifestation of the importance the Management of the bank place on capacity building of its workforce.

The Refinery, supervised by the Bank’s Human Capital Management Group, was accredited by CIBN after assessing and evaluating its syllabus, curriculum and structure by panel of technocrats and seasoned bankers set up by the Institute, which, according to the chartered institute, aligns with the Competency Framework of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the professional paper standard of CIBN.
