Speaking to PRNigeria, one of the commercial drivers, Mohamed Kebi, who escaped the scene of the kidnapping, said five vehicles were intercepted during the abduction.

Buratai gave the assurance during the flag-off the 2 Battalion Forward Operation Base at the troubled Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna State.
The Force spokesman, ACP Jimoh Moshood, in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, said that the suspects who were in five groups were also responsible for armed robberies, cattle rustling and dealing in firearms in the areas.
The Command’s spokesman Mukhtar Aliyu told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kaduna that no arrest has been made, but that efforts were on to track down the killers.
Dambazzau said: “The Federal Government is worried over continuous killings, kidnappings and cattle rustling by armed bandits in Birnin-Gwari and is already mapping out strategies to nab the bandits responsible.”
It was learnt that the policemen were either shot dead or burnt in the police station that was set ablaze when the gunmen attacked Birnin Gwari in the midnight on Wednesday
