An Ibadan, Oyo State Chief Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday remanded a 60-year-old man, Adamu Serifigia, in prison custody over alleged murder of two boys of ages 10 and 13.
The accused, whose address is unknown, is charged with conspiracy and unlawful killings.
The Chief Magistrate, Abiodun Idowu, ordered that the accused should remain in prison custody pending the advice of the State Director of Public Prosecutions on the case.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Corporal Olalekan Adegbite, had told the court that Serifigia allegedly matcheted a 10-year-old boy to death.
Adegbite also said the accused and others still at large shot and killed another 13-year-old boy.
He said the offences were committed on August 6 at Alakala Village, Ibadan.
The offences contravened Sections 316 and 324 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State 2000.
The case was adjourned to September 25 for mention.
