New import, Victor Osimhen, once again fired blank despite playing all 90 minutes in SSC Napoli 2-1 win over Benevento in a Serie A tie on Sunday.
Since his arrival at Napoli, the 21-year old forward has so far played a total of 292 minutes, scoring one goal and grabbing an assist for the Italian club.
Napoli’s Hirving Lozano has scored three goals, while Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku, Cagliari’s Giovanni Simeone, Edin Dzeko, Alejandro Gomez and Francesco Caputo have banged in two goals since the commencement of the new season.
Napoli however temporarily moved second spot with 11 points from five games in the Serie A, while AC Milan tops the log with 12 points.
The Gennaro Gattuso lads will aim at improving their placement on the log when they host Sassuolo at the Stadio San Paolo.
Meanwhile, Napoli’s game with Benevento turned into a family affair as brothers Lorenzo and Roberto Insigne played against each other – and both scored.
Younger brother Roberto burst into tears after scoring his first goal in Serie A to put Benevento into the lead in the first half.
Napoli captain Lorenzo ensured there would be no hard feelings by hitting an excellent goal in off the crossbar midway through the second half to level the scores.
Andrea Petagna scored the winner for Napoli soon after.
