The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the movie: “Wives on Strike: The Uprising,” is the third part of the Wives on Strike series, which began in 2016.
The plot follows the story of women who staged a sex strike to protest domestic violence, mixing humour with important social messages.
After the success of the original, the sequel: “Wives on Strike: The Revolution,” was released in 2018, continuing the theme of women’s rights and inclusivity.
However, the third part: “The Uprising,” takes a more intriguing turn, as it tells the story of a widow whose life is turned upside down when her child was kidnapped.
