Y!/YNaija.com on Wednesday announced the first edition of the #TheYNaija100 – celebrating the influencers, innovators and creators that define Nigeria’s culture space, including music, movies, fashion, media, art, and lifestyle.
“From superstar directors to sublimely talented singers, trailblazing bloggers to global icon designers, these are the people who make the heart of the country beat,” said Adebola Williams, who is the Managing Editor for Y!/YNaija.com.
Williams added: “As part of our #Y100 series, we are looking for the best of them to spotlight and celebrate.”
There are four broad categories for the #TheYNaija100.
These are:
– Icons and Titans
– Ideators and Thinkers
– Innovators and Trailblazers
– Influencers and Trendsetters
Members of the public have been invited to nominate cultural figures they see as the most influential in 2014.
Nominations can be sent to 100@ynaija.com, with the name of the icon you nominate and a 150-word note on why the icon should make the list.
Nominees should not be more that 40 years old.
Entries close on November 30, 2014.
