The Kaduna State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Isah Ashiru, has lost his local government in the presidential election.
Similarly, former National Chairman of the PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, also lost his local government area to the All Progressives Congress in the polls.
According to the presidential results declared by Prof. B.B Shehu, INEC State Collation Officer, the APC has taken lead in six of the nine local government areas of which results have been announced as at press time.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Kaduna State has 23 local government areas.
The result of Kudan showed that APC scored 30,577 votes, while the PDP got 11,692 votes in the last Saturday’s presidential poll.
The PDP also lost in Makarfi, home to the party’s former National Chairman, as APC secured 36,624 votes against PDP’s 14,494 votes.
According to the figures released so far, the APC has won in Ikara, Makarfi, Kubau, Kudan, Soba and Sabon Gari, all in Northern Senatorial District of the state.
The opposition PDP won in Kaura, Zangon Kataf and Jaba local government areas in the Southern Senatorial District as indicated below:

The returning officer said more results are being awaited from 14 local government areas across the state.
Meanwhile, collation of results for the Senate and House of Representatives seats are ongoing.
