Retired Justice Mustapha Akanbi, the pioneer Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, on Friday, lost his wife, Alhaja Musatu Akanbi.
A statement issued by the retired ICPC boss in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, noted that the wife died in the early hours of Friday at an Indian hospital.
Akanbi described the death as a rude shock and prayed God to grant her eternal rest.
He said the corpse of late Alhaja Akanbi is expected in the country by Monday.
She survived by her husband and six children, grand children and great grand children.
Meanwhile, the GRA residence of the former president of Court of Appeal in Ilorin has been playing host to hundreds of dignitaries who came from far and near to commiserate with the family.
Prominent among them were retired and serving judges from across the country, top government officials and associates.
