A former Governor of Adamawa State, Alhaji Murtala Nyako, has said President Goodluck Jonathan will soon be kicked out of office.
Nyako spoke on Wednesday shortly after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission declared him and his son, AbdulAziz, wanted over allegations of money laundering and other related offences.
He said it was evident now that the Federal Government will soon declare “many more Nigerians wanted”.
He said it was unfortunate that the government would only declare wanted good and patriotic Nigerians and leave the bad ones
.
Nyako said this was evidence of bad leadership, which Jonathan had provided for the country.
He said based on this, Jonathan will soon be kicked out of office.
The statement, signed by his Media Assistant, Ahmed Sajoh, reads: “The Jonathan administration is intimidated by the soaring support I have continued to get
, even after leaving office. I am not aware of being declared wanted. But that is good. If you are wanted by a rouge system, it means you are a good person.
“Has this government gone after anybody that is bad? They only run after the good people and allow the bad people to roam around them, live happily and enjoy whatever bad things they are doing.
“I am not surprised at the latest action of the EFCC. Many more Nigerians will be declared wanted by the government. The government is being intimidated by the mammoth crowd that turned out for the All Progressives Congress rally in Yola, the Adamawa State capital. The Jonathan government is afraid that even when I am no longer in office, the people of Adamawa State still love and support me. When the time comes for them to be declared wanted, nobody will sympathise with them.”
