John Terry in line for Middlesbrough job

Former Chelsea captain John Terry is in contention to land the Middlesbrough manager job after Tony Pulis’ departure, according to the bookies.
Terry retired from professional football at the end of the 2017/18 season and has since been working on the Aston Villa coaching staff and is currently an assistant to manager Dean Smith.
The former England star is not the favourite to be appointed as a successor to Pulis at the moment but has been handed the short odds of 5/1 to be installed as Boro’s next manager.
Pulis left the Riverside at the end of the campaign after he failed to guide Boro to the Championship play-offs, with Terry now the fourth favourite to get the job.
Former Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is also in the mix but the clear favourite is former Tottenham Hotspur defender Jonathan Woodgate.
The 39-year-old played for Spurs between 2008 and 2011 and retired in 2016 after four years at Boro.
