A group, @BIANCA4SENATE, has given seven reasons why the widow of the Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Iyom Bianca Ojukwu, should get the ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance for her to represent Anambra South Senatorial District from 2019.
The group, in a statement published on its WhatsApp platform, said it is convinced that Lady Ojukwu, a lawyer, is fit for the position.
It wrote: “We, @BIANC4SENATE* are convinced that Iyom Barr Lady Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu deserves to receive the ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for the Senatorial Slot of Anambra South based on these seven core points of merit, viz:
“Iyom Bianca is educationally qualified for the legislative job, being a proven lawyer and attorney, and therefore should be at home with law making.
“Ugo Ejieje Mba is an accomplished diplomat, and therefore has acquired enough experience in the game and nitty-gritty of day-to-day runnings and operations of governance and government.
“Lady Bianca has been an insider in the workings of APGA from inception till date, and therefore knows very well how to protect the Party’s specific and general interests.
“Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu is at home with the games of power from her days in her father’s house to the family of Late Igbo Leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and therefore will very well manage the power politics that her seat at the 9th Senate will call up.
“Amb. Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu will be bringing into her Senatorial Assignments a good body and packages of experience as a successful mother, travelled diplomat, resilient Attorney, and a Mother-General Woman Leader.
“The APGA Ticket to the widow of Late undisputed Igbo Leader, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu will definitely rickindle the Loving Passion of Nd’Igbo for their Leader and will give all Igbos a reasonable sense of belonging in Nigeria, by the time she finally succeeded to secure a Seat at the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“As a Senator in the 9th Senate, Iyom Lady Barr Bianca Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu will actually stand out as a Gender Role Model to all women and families in Igboland in particular and the whole Nigeria, in general.”
The group said a vote for Lady Ojukwu, Nigeria’s former Ambassador, is one for the “beloved lasting memories of Ikemba and the joy of Nd’Igbo!”
