Governor Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa State on Wednesday sacked the state Commissioner for Land, Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Adamu Sarki.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abdulkadiri Fanini, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Dutse.
Fanini, who did not give reason for the action, said Badaru could terminate the appointment of any political appointee if his service was no longer needed.
He said the governor had already directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, to oversee the ministry.
He said Mohammed would double as commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs and that of land, housing and urban development.
