Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State has made a personal donation of N20 millions for the construction of Toro and Gumau Juma’ah Mosques.
Displaying the cash to newsmen, the member representing Toro Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Lawal Yahaya Gumau, said the donation followed the request for assistance towards the completion of about 11 mosques in the area through him.
Gumau explained that the Toro Central Mosque and that of Gumau were allocated N10 million for immediate completion, courtesy of Abubakar.
According to the Member, the money was a personal donation of the Governor, using the opportunity to pray that Allah Almighty rewards him abundantly.
He urged the people of the state and the benefiting communities in particular to support Abubakar’s reelection bid come 2019 for continuity.
He stated that the people of the area have every reason to support the Governor.
Gumau listed some of the developmental projects by the Governor in the area, which included road construction, water supply, provision of heath facilities, construction of schools and human capital development.
