Jerry Modibo, President of Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ Worldwide, has died at the age of 51.
Very-Reverend Jacob Anthony, General Secretary of ERCC, who confirmed the development to newsmen in Lafia, said Modibo died Tuesday morning.
Anthony said: “The wife of the deceased said she woke up this morning and discovered that her husband was shivery and could not wake up.
“She was trying to call the attention of their neighbours in order to rush him to hospital, but unfortunately he gave up to the ghost.”
According to the ERCC general secretary, the body of the deceased has been deposited at a mortuary after he was certified dead by doctors.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Modibo who became ERCC President in 2015, left behind one wife and two children.
He was a former chairman of Nasarawa State chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria from 2006 to 2009.
