CP restricts movement into police command

The Commissioner, Lagos State Police Command, Umar Manko, has expressed concern over the activities of loiters at the police headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos State.
Manko said on Tuesday that loiters have taken over the command headquarters.
He thus turned warned persons who have no business at the police headquarters to desist from coming there.
Subsequently, policemen at the entrance of the command were directed by the police boss to intensify the monitoring of visitors.
Those who had good reasons to be at the command were allowed in.
When contacted, Manko said the directive to restrict movement into the command was to check unnecessary influx of people.
Manko said: “I gave the directive when I discovered people were just hanging everywhere in the premises.
“When some of them were asked their mission, they had no good reason.
“Some just accompanied others there.
“And I said this is not right and I said ask questions to check people entering the command.
“Surely, those with good reasons are allowed in.”
