The Confederation of African Football has failed to name any top Nigerian match official for next year’s African Nations Championship in Rwanda.
This is despite the fact that the Nigeria Premier League been rated among the top five in the continent.
Daniel Bennet (South Africa) and Joseph Lamtey (Ghana) were the 34 top Center Referees and Assistant Referees named by CAF’s referees standing committee to officiate at the tournament that is played by only locally based players.
Meanwhile, as the tournament gets underway on January 16, 2016, the fitness tests for all the referees will be conducted on January 13, 2016 in Kigali.
